Hand-building Pottery Club

Class description

Join this beginner friendly, ongoing pottery class, where you'll spend 5 weeks learning the ins and outs of hand-building, using underglazes and come out with 2-3 glazed and functional pieces. What's included? Unlimited clay for you to play and make anything you want. All the tools you need and some you've possible never thought of! Colourful underglazes to bring your pieces to life. A helpful teacher to show you the 3 main hand-building techniques (plus a little bit more). Glaze and firing for 2-3 pieces (depending on their size). Tea and coffee for those cold nights! What to bring? Yourself and a ready-to-learn attitude. BYO any other drinks. Other important info: Sadly, you won't get to glaze your piece yourself, just underglaze (which is the colourful fun bit anyway). We use a public kiln right now and 5 weeks isn't enough time to make the pieces you want, paint them all pretty AND glaze them. But don't worry, your teacher will take good care of them. All ages! Under 15s must be accompanied by an adult (exceptions can be made if your child is super mature and understands this is not a babysitting club).
