Pinch Pot Pottery

Class description

Join us for a beginner friendly pinch pot class, one of the three main hand-building techniques. You'll learn how to go from a lump of mud to a beautiful ceramic piece. Your teacher will guide you through the main techniques and then help you to add, change and create anything you want! At the end you'll leave your piece with us and have it returned a fully glazed and functional piece! What's included? A big ol' lump of clay ready for your moulding. All the tools you need, and some you've possibly never thought of! A helpful instructor to assist you however you need. Tea and coffee. What to bring? Yourself and a can-do attitude! BYO any other drinks (I mean, it is Friday night...) Other important info: We use a public kiln (until we can get our own) so your pottery will take 4-6 weeks before you can come pick it up. If you don't want us to glaze and fire your piece, you can take it home right there and then! All ages! Under 15s must be accompanied by an adult (exceptions can be made if your child is super mature and understands this is not a babysitting club).
